Find the camp that suits your summer schedule and
budget!
This summer, leave the entertainment
to us! We've got 9 weeks of messy, sticky, sandy, crafty, adventurous,
out-of-this-world fun planned! Our camps are a little bit different than what
you'll find elsewhere. They are "mini" camps, in that they all last 3 hours
long. You can choose from a morning or afternoon session- if you want, you can
choose for them to stay all day. Morning sessions run 9:30am-12:30pm, afternoon
sessions runs 1:30pm-4:30pm. Sessions taking place Monday-Thursday are geared
towards 5-8 year olds (many will accommodate 4 year olds). Sessions held on
Fridays are geared towards 9-12 year olds.

Description of Camp Sessions
ISLAND VIBES: Can't go to Hawaii this summer? We'll bring the
fun of the islands to you. We'll be making flower leis, sand art, learning some
hula moves, cooking up some island recipes and as the weather permits, playing
some fun water games outdoors.
(Be sure to bring a swimsuit, towel and wear your sunscreen to this
camp). (4 YEAR OLDS ACCEPTED)
WILD, WILD WEST: Ever
wonder why a cowboy slept in his boots? How they lasso a cow or used to pan for
gold? This is the camp to come to for all things cowboy (or girl!) We'll be making a wild west chili, panning
for gold, learn to rope some cattle, target shooting with slingshots and many
more fun western crafts. (4 YEAR OLDS ACCEPTED)
PASSPORT TO THE WORLD: If you haven't had the
opportunity to travel the world with your child, this is the next best thing
(well, in 3 hours anyway!) We'll be recreating art from around the world
(Australia, China, Japan & Mexico). Children will have the chance to
experiment with all kinds of art medium and create one of kind projects. This
camp is great for boys and girls alike.
ANCIENT EGYPT: Calling all pharaoh's! We
have some fun that you've likely never experienced before! Create your own
pyramid, make a mummy replica, learn to write your name in hieroglyphics and
dress like an Egyptian.
RAD REPTILES: If
you're a reptile lover, this is the camp for you! We'll have a special guest,
Jeff from The REPTILE ZONE visiting and sharing his wonderful knowledge and
friends with us. Be sure to check the
calendar as some of the days will be designated for lizards & tortoises and the others will be just
snakes. You can sign up for either one
or both. At the conclusion of our guest
visitor, we'll have some time for a reptilian themed craft as well. This is a camp you don't want to missssssss!
(4 YEAR OLDS ACCEPTED)
ANIMAL ANTICS: This is a great camp for kids
who love to find out "WHY and HOW" animals do what they do. To give you an example, one of the fantastic
hands-on activities that the kids will participate in: owl pellet dissection!
They'll be examining an owl pellet (regurgitated stuff), investigating the
skeletal remains that they find and learning about how and why owls must
regurgitate their meals. We'll also have
several cute owl crafts to round out this fun camp. And that is just ONE of the
animal camps!
(4 YEAR OLDS ACCEPTED)
SPACE STATION VACATION: Join us for some out-of-this-world
fun, where we'll learn about all things space! Things like gravity,
weightlessness, rockets, space food and more will join forces with art,
construction, experimentation and imagination! 3-2-1 we have lift
off!
ADVENTURE ENTHUSIASTS: If you're kids are
constantly saying, "I'm bored!" then this is the camp for them. It's non-stop excitement,
all the way through! This camp
alternates between walking field trips to Inclimb rock climbing gym and some in
house visits by Sortor Bushido Kai Karate.
While at Inclimb, the kids will be able to use any of the 10,000sf
facility. If you haven't been there before, its' amazing! They have bouldering
walls where the kids can free climb without a harness, and walls where they
would be harnessed in and hooked into a belay system. You can specify if you'd
rather they not use one or the other.
For the in house visits from Sortor Bushido Kai, two of the camp
sessions will focus on teaching the basics of Karate and engaging the kids in
some games where they can utilize those skills. The third camp is a stuntman
training camp. Sensei Brian will teach the kids how to "fall", "hit", and "take
hits" for the camera safely. He utilizes a live camera and television so the
kids can watch themselves in action just as the actors in Hollywood do.
KIDS IN THE KITCHEN: Back by popular demand! Kids
absolutely love learning to be a real cook. They'll gain practice measuring,
stirring, chopping, mixing, baking AND washing the dishes and cleaning up the
mess! Several recipes will be made and sampled during this 3 hour session. (4 YEAR OLDS ACCEPTED)
MAD SCIENCE: Anything goes in this one! The kids will get to
experiment with chemistry, solids, liquids, gases, some cooking and much, much
more! The mad scientist is the one who has the most fun!
ALL THINGS MESSY: Another favorite of years
passed! Break out the play clothes- they're gonna come home messy! We'll be up
to our elbows in paint, sand, whipped cream, shaving cream, pudding, tie die
and maybe some other ridiculously messy substances! Come to think of it, a
change of clothes for the ride home isn't such a bad idea either. It hasn't
been unheard of for parents to hose their kids off before putting them in the
car! (4 YEAR OLDS ACCEPTED)
GIRLY GIRLS: Send them our way for a special "spa day" with
their best girl friends. They'll get a
mini manicure, pedicure and glittery hairstyle plus some time to bounce and
play with their friends. Afterall, what's a day at the spa without your best
girl friends, right? (4 YEAR OLDS ACCEPTED)
ROWDY BOYS: We think we're pretty well equipped to handle
even the rowdiest of boys...they can obviously bounce off our walls and just next
door another10,000sf of indoor climbing fun! Between the two, we'll have their
tongues dragging when we hand them back over in 3 hours!
WET, WILD & WACKY: We'll be outside, wet and of
course being totally wacky! Last year the big hit was the water slide! We'll
play all sorts of silly games involving water and other wacky substances. We'll even make some homemade ice cream in a
tin can! (4 YEAR OLDS ACCEPTED)
NATURE EXPLORERS: We'll make our own
bug vacuum's and go out bug hunting in the vacant lot next door. Plus we'll get
to examine dozens of local bug specimens collected for us by a local
exterminator. We've got some pretty neat
crafts up our sleeves to coincide with mother nature as well! (4 YEAR OLDS ACCEPTED)
ROCKIN' RAINFOREST: Come
along as we head deep into the rainforest to learn about the plants and animals
that live there, the things we eat that come from there and what we can do to
help save it! With a little bit of literature, a little bit of cooking, art and
imagination all wrapped up in this camp- it's sure to be a hit! (4 YEAR OLDS ACCEPTED)
GROSS ME OUT: Let's face it- some of the things our bodies
make and do are downright disgusting!
Without getting too in depth (academically) we'll investigate and
recreate many of them. Expect some realistic replica's coming home afterward...consider
yourself warned! (4 YEAR OLDS ACCEPTED)
(9-12 YEAR OLD FRIDAY CAMPS)
GROSS ME OUT: Welcome friends to gross-out time! You'll find
gross things of every kind. Crusty, flaky, scabby stuff; stinky, smelly, rotting mush. Squishy, squashy,
oozing slime; greasy, gritty, globby grime. We've got games and puzzles, too,
mazes facts, and jokes for you! So let's get started, don't delay, make it a
super gross-out day! * This camp will
focus primarily on the gross stuff that our bodies make and do...not for the
faint of stomach!
JEWELRY: We'll be making a variety of projects using
materials that all girls just love! They'll have the opportunity to create 3-4
unique pieces of jewelry. And we'll be making friendship bracelets...so bring a
friend!
MEDIEVAL MANIA: Go back in time to learn more
about the medieval days...learn to joust like a knight (bouncing off the wall
style of course!), learn basic archery skills, play bocce ball, make stained
glass, sundials and your very own paper!
ART AROUND THE
WORLD: Explore
some really cool crafts and art from around the globe. Kids will have the
choice of working on several different projects during this camp using a
variety of art medium. They'll take home
1-3 completed projects.
FEAR FACTOR: Based loosely on the hit TV
show, your child will have the chance to participate in many "gross or fear"
based challenges. Kids will get to
choose at each challenge whether they want to do something or not and certainly
nothing that we give them as a challenge will put their safety or well-being at
risk. This one is sure to be a hit with
both boys and girls alike!

For safety reasons this year, we are requiring that every child
attending our camps wear a camp tshirt. This shirt will quickly and visually
identify them to both our staff and the general public. The first camp that you
register for, you will be required to pay $7 for your camp tshirt. Each
subsequent camp that your child attends, they will either need to wear that
shirt or you will need to get them another one. THEY MUST WEAR THIS SHIRT DURING CAMP HOURS AT ALL TIMES.
WHAT TO BRING?
- Please apply sunscreen before camp. As weather
permits, we use the opportunity to go outside and enjoy the sunshine.
- A water bottle marked with your child's name.
- If the camp description includes something "wet,"
it's a good idea to send a towel and change of clothes with your child.
They may not need them, but it's better to be prepared.
- THEY
DON'T NEED A SNACK. We serve a snack midway
through each camp session. Unless your child has food allergies or
sensitivities to a commonly served food item (wheat or dairy), please do
not send a snack for them to eat. It makes it difficult for the other
children who don't get to eat the same thing. We promise, we won't starve
them!
- If your child is staying all day, please send
them with a lunch marked with their name. We can refrigerate lunches if
necessary. It's a long day for the kids who stay through so try to help
them choose healthy, protein rich foods for their lunch and limit sweets
if at all possible. This helps stabilize their energy and mood levels
throughout the day. Making for a much happier child for all of us by the
end of the day!
